If Alaska had a brother it would be named Chile and their sister would be Argentina. A few months back I had the opportunity to tag along on a motorcycle trip from Terra Del Fuego to Santiago for about 4 weeks of adventure. Not knowing much about the area, other than that it was the land of the Tango, Malbec wine, and some big mountains, my expectations were quickly blown out of the water. Massive peaks rise from the ocean, while glaciers ever so slowly sink into it. The people are some of the friendliest I've met, while the food is top notch (warning: I ate more meat and bread in 4 weeks, than I had in the last 2 years). The trip itself went off "relatively" smoothly, with only a few dropped bikes and one broken collar bone. I'm currently editing a short film trailer from the trip, so I'll post it up here soon.
