Ones & Zeros

It's an interesting day in age where you can be located in Boston, MA and get footage from half way around the world, edit it, and send it back across the world, all within a matter of hours.  I've been doing a lot of editing lately for TimeDoc China and the footage they send me is pretty incredibly.  Although, the footage is great, I can't help but think of how awesome it would be to have captured it myself. I'll post the films here shortly... In the meantime, here's a look at my latest cine reel. Enjoy!

Re-Birth

I've been working on updating my portfolio (it's been a few years) and therefore have been browsing through some of my old photos. It's fun to come across old photos that you've long since forgotten about, but now, seeing them in a new light, with older eyes, they have different meaning. Here are a few photos that have been resurrected!

Rock-a-billy in Death Valley

As far as the naming of National Parks goes, Death Valley was given one of the best. Not only is the name attention grabbing, but the park's landscape is as well. The park straddles the border between Nevada and California and has a variety of sand dunes, old dried up lakes, new rivers, and the strangest mountains I've seen. If you're ever in the neighborhood I highly recommend stopping by to take a peek. Here are a few snaps taken at one of the old lake beds. A funny natural phenomenon occurs here when it rains heavily and the wind allows the rocks to get up and have a dance. The trails left behind become evidence of their movement. Enjoy!

Jay & The FT's

Here's a little video I shot for my friend's band Jay & The FT's. They held a benefit concert for a local Boston charity called The Jimmy Fund, and managed to raise over $3000 in a single night.

A Day in the Life of....

I had the opportunity to work with TimeDoc once again when they assigned me to follow a Chinese Harvard Student that is doing his Phd in Urban Planning. I didn't follow him in a creepy he didn't know about it way; instead we basically hung out together for the day and I shot him doing things like going to his dance class, meeting peers, advisors, etc.  It was interesting to get a glimpse into his daily life and a behind the scenes look at Harvard...

Here is a link to the video; and a few screen grabs.
