Knitting on Wheels

In February of 2010 the Olympics were in full swing in Vancouver and the city was overflowing with spectators from all over the world. Traffic crawled at a snails pace, sidewalks overflowed, and there was a lineup for hotdog stands that went for two blocks! During these two weeks of madness, a small documentary crew was trying to navigate the city in order to film two bike messengers as they went about their daily lives. It just so happens that I was the director and co-producer on this film. It was an interesting time to shoot a doc on bike couriers - I think it was probably the heaviest traffic and busiest downtown core in the history of Vancouver. Perhaps we should have done a doc on knitting. We did however manage to get a great doc out of it, that even went on to screen at a few festivals. You can watch the film here:
