Yukon Salmon Sub-Committee: Journeys with Kings

Yukon Salmon Sub-Committee got in touch with me to help edit footage shot on a trip down the Yukon River last summer. They visited a number of villages along the river in order to get a better understanding of the status of the King Salmon and to talk with locals about strategies to protect the resource.

Knitting on Wheels

In February of 2010 the Olympics were in full swing in Vancouver and the city was overflowing with spectators from all over the world. Traffic crawled at a snails pace, sidewalks overflowed, and there was a lineup for hotdog stands that went for two blocks! During these two weeks of madness, a small documentary crew was trying to navigate the city in order to film two bike messengers as they went about their daily lives. It just so happens that I was the director and co-producer on this film. It was an interesting time to shoot a doc on bike couriers - I think it was probably the heaviest traffic and busiest downtown core in the history of Vancouver. Perhaps we should have done a doc on knitting. We did however manage to get a great doc out of it, that even went on to screen at a few festivals.
