ALIX + TAM

I had the privilege of shooting Alix and Tam's wedding the other week at the Brock House in Vancouver. It's funny because since their engagement I've taken so many photos of these two (from engagement photos, to bridal shower, to rehearsal dinner etc.) that it feels like I'm their own personal Paparazzi. That being said, for some reason they didn't invite me on the Honeymoon to Turkey. In any case, here are a few selections from the wedding. Enjoy!

Music Video

A music video I shot with my friends Ragav & Brett. I was co-DOP and camera. We shot over a few days in Vancouver and if I remember correctly we even missed a few Stanley Cup hockey games to get it done. A great team to work with, and I hope we get more gigs together in the future.

Enjoy!

The New Gold Rush

I recently tagged along with a claim staking crew as they worked for over 23 hours straight. We bush-wacked up mountains, through walls of brush and thick swamps. Needless to say, it was an intense day. I'm using the footage to gather attention towards a feature documentary that I'm trying to get made on the new Gold Rush. Here's a link to some of the footage shot during that trip.  http://vimeo.com/26081023   password: goldrush

Polka-dot Pond

I was walking home from Granville Island the other day after doing a shoot for someone that is launching a blog about food around Vancouver (www.nourishingvancouver.com). Anyways, we walked by this neat little pond and I got these snaps.

CIRCO ZUARY!

For some reason I'm fascinated by the circus. I don't think I'm fascinated by them particularly in the way that they themselves aim to fascinate their audiences - with dazzling & spectacular stunts, humour, and art - but instead I find the lifestyle and people themselves more dazzling & spectacular.

The ZUARY CIRCUS is a small group of entertainers that we encountered in Nicaragua. It consists of about 20 people that fill the roles of animal trainers, belly dancers, motorcycle stuntman, balancing phenom, rope-swing-thingy-twirling guy.... and many other positions that I cannot describe. Many of them are related in one way or another and they spend their days hanging around their camper vans (beside the big tent) or exploring whichever town they find themselves in. Around dinner time, they get into costume and for the next 2 hours or so perform their mind bending or death defying talents for the small crowds that have decided to feed their curiosities. Unfortunately my travel schedule didn't allow me to spend as much time with them as I would have liked. But here are some pictures taken from a few hours with the MAGNIFICENT ZUARY CIRCUS! enjoy.
